The mission of The Black Arts Studio is to work hard for awesome people to create the absolute best screen printed goods possible, while always striving to improve and innovate.

What We Do

The Black Arts Studio is a custom graphic and textile screen printing studio based in Syracuse, NY.  We specialize in waterbased and discharge printing on apparel (though we do, now and then, use the most environmentally friendly phthalate free plastisol ink available if the project calls for it).  We also do short run screen printing with water based ink on all kinds of paper, cardboard, and wood flat-stock products. We only use drain safe, biodegradable screen cleaning products made from citrus and soy. We strive to always source products that have the least environmental impact possible and have tailored all our processes to reduce the waste found in most screen printing shops.  Our paper of choice is made in America from 100% recycled content and made in a paper mill that has been run by its own hydroelectric generators since 1922. We design and print custom jobs for clients, as well as printing and selling our own limited edition art prints, apparel, and other various screen printed goods under the label of the BLK.RTS. Brand.

It is our goal to continually be raising the bar and staying on the cutting edge.
